Acorn Update
As we enter the second week of Advent, don’t forget to check out FLC’s Christmas Page for all the details on worship, gatherings, and events.
We’d also love your help in making these celebrations extra special! Explore the volunteer opportunities using the link below and join us in spreading joy this season.
URGENT: MORE PRAYER PARTNERS NEEDED
We have a few wristbands left from our PreCon and Confirmation youth that need prayer partners for this year. Every 6th- 9th grade student has a wristband that says, “Love Like Jesus”. They’re wearing one themselves, and they’ve signed another for a prayer partner. We’re inviting adults to take a wristband (or two!) and commit to praying for that student by name. Interested? Use the link below to be added to the list, or stop by the office.
CALL COMMIITEE NOW ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS
Farmington Lutheran’s Call Committee has begun its work, setting the foundation to ultimately interview applicants for a Minister of Youth & Community Connection.
If you wish to nominate someone for this position, nomination forms will be in the Gathering Space at the greeting table. Nominations are open until 12:00 pm, 12/14.
KiC456 COOKIE BAKING:
Friday, December 12 6:30-8:30pm
KiC456+beyond is having a baking event this Friday (Dec. 12) SIGN UP HERE and we are looking for a few people to help with some baking needs.
Do you like to make sugar cookie cutouts? Would you consider making some for the kids to decorate? Would you like to mix up some cookie dough that the kids can scoop and bake at FLC?
We have a few other requested items on our list as well. View it all HERE
Spontaneous, Unrehearsed Christmas Program!
Sunday, December 14 at 8:30 & 10:30am
No rehearsals needed—just show up to worship, pick a part, and let the pastors handle the rest.
And just like last year, we’re encouraging everyone to wear their most festive (ahem… possibly ugly!) Christmas gear. Come ready for joy, laughter, and a wonderfully unpredictable Christmas story!
SEASONAL ASSISTANCE
In addition to snow, winter brings with it additional requests for aid in our community. If you’re willing to be a resource for families in need in a TBD capacity this season, please contact the office or email Pastor Kristen at kristen@farmingtonlutheran.com. Examples might be supplying basic necessities, snow removal, or other late notice or urgent needs.
POINSETTIA DONATIONS
If you would like to donate in memory or in honor of loved ones this holiday season, Poinsettia donation forms are available in the gathering space and at the welcome booth.
