Acorn Update
FREE COMMUNITY MEAL THIS THURSDAY
Thursday, November 20, 5:30-6:30pm
One of our basic calls as church is to feed our neighbors. Twice a month FLC is hosting a free community- it's a free simple supper, with a "nothing expected, anything appreciated" donation model. FLC Community members are invited to invite others, share a meal, and be church together. If you're interested in participating, volunteer, or supplying, please contact John Oney, the FLC Office or SIGN UP HERE
Future meals are December 4, 18

Interested in helping with worship?
ALL AGES are welcome, and we’ll train you the day of (or even during the service if that’s more comfortable!). There are lots of ways to get involved:
Communion Assistants – help serve communion
Worship Hosts – greet, hand out bulletins, pass offering baskets
Acolytes – light and extinguish the candles before and after worship
Sign up is now located on the whiteboard by the welcome booth- sign up before worship on Sunday mornings. If you’re curious or want to give it a try, we’d love to have you jump in!
LAYER UP AT THE LIBRARY: Free Winter Gear for ALL AGES
Saturday, December 6 from 9:00am-12:00pm
Stop by the library and shop for free winter gear for all ages- boots, hats, coats, mittens, gloves, scarves, etc. Everyone is welcome and invited- tell your family, friends and neighbors.
And we’re still collecting winter gear! We’re especially looking for kids’ snow gear — waterproof items like snow pants, boots, mittens, and jackets — so everyone can enjoy playing outside this winter.
GAME NIGHTS AT FLC
Next Date: Saturday, December 6 from 6:00-10:00pm
Everyone’s invited for a night of fun and connection! All ages are welcome—come for part of the evening or stay the whole time. Bring your favorite board or card game to share, or join in with one of the many games we’ll have here. Feel free to bring a snack to enjoy or share as we spend the night laughing, playing, and building community together!
It’s hard to believe Christmas time is almost here! 🎄
We’re already busy preparing for all the wonderful events and celebrations of the season. Visit our Christmas Page to find all the details about upcoming services and gatherings.
We’re also looking for volunteers to help make these events extra special! There are lots of great opportunities to serve — use the link below to sign up and join the fun!
PRAYER PARTNER WRISTBANDS are back for the 25-26 program year!
We’re looking for caring adults willing to pray for our students. Every 6th- 9th grade student has a wristband that says, “Love Like Jesus”. They’re wearing one themselves, and they’ve signed another for a prayer partner. We’re inviting adults to take a wristband (or two!) and commit to praying for that student by name. Interested? Use the link below to be added to the list.
