TEENS FOR CHRIST
Wednesday, July 8th, 15th and 22nd at 7:00pm
TiC aka Teens in Christ, continues to meet Wednesdays here at FLC over the summer months. If you are entering 8th grade this fall through a high school graduate you are welcome to join us. In July we meet on the 8th, 15th and 22nd. We start at 7 PM in the youth room. Each night you can expect Fellowship, Food and Faith the trifecta of FUN! Hope to see you there. Questions? GRILLING FOR GOOD
July 15, 2026 · 5:00pm – 7:00pm, Outside at FLC
Join your FLC family and the For Good campaign team for an evening of grilling and gratitude as we celebrate and share continued updates on For Good, our collective mission to retire our debt, respond to our call, and live into our purpose as a community of faith and fellowship.
We’ll have a grill full of hot dogs and brats along with sides, desserts, and beverages. We’ll have lawn games ready and hold tours of our grounds and all the work that has gone on recenlty to beautify our outdoor spaces. Plus, we’ll share a celebratory toast and campaign update at 6:00 pm.
Your family is most welcome, and we’re grateful for all the ways you join the work happening for good in mission and ministry through Farmington Lutheran.

A big shout-out to the congregation for the $1,000 donation to the Farmington Food Shelf. We are honored to receive this community impact gift from the For Good campaign. All of your food donations and monetary gifts go directly to our neighbors in need. Please know it all truly makes a difference!
We are adding 6 more scheduled appointments each week to accommodate more families. That doesn’t sound like a lot, but it will, on average, mean 500 more lbs. of food distributed each week! As gardening season progresses, feel free to drop off excess produce. This is always a popular choice for our clients.

I’d be happy to arrange a visit with individuals or groups so you can see the food shelf up close and get a sense of what we offer. SUNDAY NIGHT BOOK CLUB
7:00pm, July 19, 26, August 1, 9 & 16
This summer you are invited to a Sunday evening book club reading Searching for Sunday: Loving, Leaving, and Finding the Church by Rachel Held Evans. This will be a safe space to share experiences unpacking, doubting, deconstructing, and reconstructing Christian faith. Snacks will be provided and all are welcome!
The first session will be introductory, no need to have purchased or read anything. To register, please email betsygrawe@gmail.com and we’ll work on putting together a book order.

VALLEYFAIR WITH FLC!

Farmington Lutheran is going to Valleyfair! Open to all ages. Have a youth who wants to attend with no adult? That's ok! We have plenty of adults attending, we'll split into groups to wander the park together. Need a ride? Email jen@farmingtonlutheran.com, and we'll do our best to coordinate a carpool.
CORN ROAST & MILESTONE EVENT
Wednesday, August 19 from 5:00 - 7:00pm
Farmington Lutheran Church will host its Second Annual Corn Feed! The Corn Feed will feature a delicious grilled dinner, fresh sweet corn, sides, and dessert. Everyone is invited to stop by anytime between 5:00 and 7:00 PM to enjoy a meal and connect with the FLC community.
Families with students entering one of our milestone grades (Kindergarten, 6th, 9th & 12th) will also have an opportunity to gather with other FLC families at the same stage of life. More details and specific times for each milestone gathering will be shared closer to the event, but each group will have the chance to hear from a panel of parents and leaders, ask questions, and connect with one another as you prepare for the new school year.
Whether you're coming for dinner, celebrating a milestone, or both, we hope you'll join us for this evening of food, fellowship, and encouragement!
