Women's Ministry Retreat

The Women's Retreat "Growth through Faith" will take place on Sat., Oct. 26th from 9am-3p.m. at the Mount Olivet Retreat Center. The cost for the retreat is $30 and is due when signing up for the event. Snacks and lunch will be provided; please let us know of any food allergies.

Our presenters for the day are Julie Stetler, Susie Matthees, and Karina Nelsen.

Julie Stetler shares her very personal journey to discover how God’s love transformed her life by bringing healing, freedom and joy. Through transparency and openness, she hopes her story will encourage others who find themselves in the midst of darkness to know that they are not alone.

Susie Matthees is on a mission of sharing Jesus throughout her life with the intention of filling Heaven with all of God’s children! As another busy women in today’s crazy world, she loves to bring hope, restoration, grace and joy into the lives of other women. Many who know Susie know that she has an attitude of gratitude for life, and especially for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Karina Nelsen shares her own struggle with judgement, control and approval. This personal journey from breaking point to healing includes new adventures, laughter and a whole lot of learning. Presented from a scriptural perspective, this session offers a process (based on impov theatre of all things!) that helps break through to a mindset of grace, of shared joy, and of lifting each other up with our gifts.

Sports are limited and registrations are due by Oct. 18, 2019. Please contact Phyllis Blees, women's ministry representative, at 952-432-4673, with any questions.

A group wlll be meeting at FLC and carpooling to the reatreat for those who are interested.

Baptism Orientation

Baptism is God’s action for us, a pure gift, and that is why we baptize people of all ages – even infants – for who is more free and open to receive a gift than an infant?  In Baptism, God delivers us from the forces of evil, puts our sinful self to death, gives us new birth, adopts us as children, and makes us members of the Body of Christ, the church.
