Grad Sunday

Congratulations to all of our graduates! We love celebrating big moments with you. Graduation is one of those moments! How many times have you already been asked where you’re going to school, what you’re doing, what you’re majoring in? People are interested in your story and so are we!

We can’t wait to celebrate with you and bless you on your journey ahead, wherever that may be.

During the blessing, you’ll receive a blanket embroidered with love from Farmington Lutheran Church to take with you next year. We hope you’re parents or supporters of any kind will join us as well so they can take part in the blessing.

Graduates please arrive by 9:45am at the latest so we can share a prayer beforehand and make sure everyone is informed.

Baptism Orientation

Baptism is God’s action for us, a pure gift, and that is why we baptize people of all ages – even infants – for who is more free and open to receive a gift than an infant?  In Baptism, God delivers us from the forces of evil, puts our sinful self to death, gives us new birth, adopts us as children, and makes us members of the Body of Christ, the church.

Social_Animals

Friday, April 5 - 6:30 - 9:00  in the FLC Sanctuary

We will view the movie together and then engage together in a discussion! We think parents and teens would really benefit from seeing this, but all are welcome! Youth should feel free to bring friends!
A daredevil photographer, an aspiring swimsuit model, and a midwest girl next door are all looking for the same things from their Instagram accounts––a little love, acceptance and, of course, fame––and they’ll do just about anything to get it. With an observational eye Social Animals peeks into the digital and real worlds of today’s image-focused teenager, where followers, likes and comments mark success and self worth.

2nd Grade Prayer Milestone

2nd Grade Prayer Milestone

Second graders and their families participate in a Prayer Milestone in March. The purpose of this milestone is to give families a time to connect with each other and develop faith practices that can be used at church, home, and in their daily lives. We want to equip parents (and children) with the knowledge of how and when to pray. We hope that the children will learn that they have a direct relationship with God and Jesus through prayer & that prayer becomes a normal part of a family’s daily routine and tradition for passing on faith.
