Confirmation Kick Off

Wed., Oct. 2, 6:30 p.m.

Crossroads families, grades 6 – 8 will meet in the Sanctuary for Confirmation Kick-Off. Come early for pizza dinner served from 5 – 6:30. Please rsvp to the office ( by sept. 30 if you are planning to come for supper. Other Oct. Confirmation gatherings Oct. 9, 23 and 30th.

Koin Kick Off

Wed., Oct. 2, 8 – 9 p.m.

Youth grades 9 – 12 are invited as we kick off a new season of senior high KOIN. We will meet in the youth room for a game, food and Jesus time. Other October KOIN gatherings: Oct. 9, 23, 30.

9th Grade Retreat

Oct. 12 – 13

All 9th Grade youth, Guides and Junior Guides will meet at church at 8 a.m. for your 9th grade retreat. We will be spending the retreat at Camp Friendship in Annandale, MN. This is a very important time and a confirmation requirement.

Throughout the weekend we will enjoy games, large and small group times, a pink party, make your confirmation stole, work on your confirmation project and so much more. Your attendance is expected. If you are not able to attend please contact Kristine by Sunday, Sept. 22. We can also work with your schedules if you can just attend part of the retreat. We will return by 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Night of Sharing

Wed., Oct. 23, 6 p.m.

All 9th grade Confirmation youth and parents will come for the night of sharing. This will be a time of reflection and sharing your faith project.

Confirmation Rehearsal & Photos

Sat., Oct. 26, 11 a.m.

All youth being confirmed, and parent(s) will meet for rehearsal and to have your confirmation photo taken. When you arrive, you will put on your Confirmation robe and stole then have a seat in the Sanctuary. Youth should dress nicely for the rehearsal and for the Confirmation service. Males – dress shirt, tie, dress pants and shoes, hair combed. Not tennis shoes or hats. Females – dress or dress pants and a nice shirt, or skirt and nice shirt. Dress shoes. The rehearsal should conclude by 12:30 p.m.

Confirmation Service

Sat., Oct. 26, 5 p.m., Sun., Oct. 27, 1 p.m.

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16. This verse which was most likely read at your baptism will again be read on your Confirmation service as you publicly affirm your baptism, celebrate your 3 plus years of Confirmation and agree to continue on in your faith.

Youth should arrive a minimum of 20 minutes prior to the service you will be confirmed at. Youth should dress nicely (same as rehearsal), put on their robe and stole and goto the Gathering area. This service is a very special service and pivotal point in your faith life. There will be a time during the confirmation service for each youth to come forward for a “laying on of hands”. Youth are encouraged to invited family, friends and other mentors in your faith life to be a part of this special moment.
